  • We have been in business since 1999 and are locally owned.  We have qualified technicians, we offer fast prompt cell phone repair service in Edmonton. We have knowledegable friendly staff that do everything in their ability to go the extra mile and ensure we provide you with the best service at the lowest price possible. We also offer a comprehensive 90-Day warranty on all refurbished devices, a 30-Day warranty on all renewed devices, and a 90-Day warranty on repair of any cell phone or tablet that has not been water damaged or drastically warped.

  • Which smartphone is the best one for me?
  • Any time we hear this question we always emphasize that the smartphone you will prefer depends entirely on the kind of user you are. If you need a phone exclusively for calling and texting, then obviously a high-end Samsung or Apple phone serves you no benefit. In order for us to help you pick out the device that will best suit your needs, we recommend for you to come into our store and talk to any cell phone professional we have on hand.

  • How long does it take to repair a device?
  • The repair time can be quite variable, and dependent on the phone and the type of repair that is needed. Screen repairs for more common phones (ex. iPhones and Samsung Galaxy, Blackberry, Sony, LG, Nexus ect.) are completed within the day (or even within the hour if there are not too many phones ahead). If the device is not turning on, or if the cause of the problem is unknown, or water damage repair, diagnostics and repair can take 24-48 hours. For a rare device for which we do not have a parts in stock, we can order them from our supplier.

  • Can we repair water damaged phones?
  • Yes we can. But water damage is very unpredictable. There tends to be a 50% success rate for water damage repair. There is no way to tell beforehand if the water damage repair will work: we have seen phones that have been in the bottom of a lake for a few hours begin to work, we have also seen phones have a glass of water spilled on them not work. Water damage is very unpredictable and comes with no warranty. If you have any further questions we encourage you to contact the store.

  • I have more than one device that is broken/more the one issue with the same device, do you offer a deal on the second repair?
  • Yes, you would receive $10 off on the second repair and each repair there after (Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion).

  • What payments do you guys accept?
  • We accept Visa, MC, Debit and Cash as forms of payment.

  • What if I already purchased the part needed for repair?
  • We can use your part but we can not give our 90 day Warranty with the repair.

  • What devices do you repair?
  • We repair iPhones, iPods, iPads, Android Phones, Basic Cell Phones, & Tablets.

  • Do you offer a warranty?
  • All of our repairs come with a 90-Day Parts and Labor Warranty on all of our repairs, a 90-Day manufacturers warranty on all refurbished devices we have for sale, and a 30-Day in store warranty on all of our renewed devices. This does not include phones that have been water damaged or have warped or damaged frames.

  • Do you buy or sell phones?
  • Yes, we buy and sell a wide variety of cell phones. We have a large variety of devices including iPhones, Android Phones, Blackberry’s & More! We will consider a device for trade in depending on the specific model and condition of the device.We encourage you to call into the store before bringing in any phone for trade-in.

  • Do you sell parts?
  • We do sell parts, but pricing is not listed on the website. For pricing, please call the store 780 475 6776.

  • Does your warranty cover accidental damage?
  • Any physical damage of any sort will void your warranty.  Sorry.

  • What if you cannot repair my device, do I still have to pay?
  • Yes. Our technicians are extremely thorough and if they have deemed your device not repairable they have spent a reasonable amount of their time diagnosing the issue.

  • Do you sell cases and accessories?
  • Yes, we sell both cases and phone accessories and tablets accessories in Edmonton. We have a wide variety of Otterbox, UAG, Speck, Incipio and other great name brand cases.

  • Is Cellular Toy Shoppe a franchise?
  • We are wholly independently owned and operated.  The owners are involved in the daily operations of the business and we believe in customer service and high quality repair.  Franchise operations can suffer from poor service and repair quality since owners may not be involved on a daily basis.   We care about our reputation and the treatment of our customers and hope that our customers tell all their friends about our commitment and service.

  • I have private information on my device. How do I know you won’t look through my device?
  • Privacy is a very real concern.  Our policy is to protect your privacy and we have a good reputation and are trusted by many.  We value our customers too much to compromise them.  However, we do ask for your passcode so as to properly do a pretest before and a post test after repair.  But you can unlock your phone so we can do the pretest while you are and then the post test.  Just to be clear though this may result in delays in getting your phone back.

  • Do you offering unlocking services?
  • Yes we do.  The prices are listed HERE.  Most unlocks are up to 24 hours.  You may keep your phone with your.  If you are leaving the country or unable to return to the shop, you may provide us your email address and we will email you your unlocking details.

  • Why does it take longer to repair iPads?
  • iPads are not just a simple straightforward repair.  It does require several uninterrupted hours of our time.  We need to remove your old screen and clean your frame from the previous adhesive and then reapply the new digitizer with new adhesive so that it will not lift soon after the repair.  We will need your iPad, in most cases, for 3 to 5 business days.
