What does a diagnostic tell you?
Sometimes a phone is broken and you don’t know why. When a technician performs a diagnostic, the technician opens your phone, test individual components, and determines the cause of the problem. It tells the customer what the problem is, how much it costs, and whether it is worth fixing.
Many customers do not want to invest more money fixing an old phone and would prefer to invest in a phone upgrade instead. Some repairs are straightforward and inexpensive; other repairs may cost more than the value of the phone itself or are so expensive that it would be cheaper to buy a new phone. A diagnostic provides the customer with the right information to make a decision about fixing their phone.

- Our repair technicians will open up your phone and individually test the internal components to determine what issue(s) are present and provide you with an estimate of how much it will cost to fix your mobile device.

Diagnostic ONLY, customer chooses NOT to repair
- After the diagnostic, the customer may choose whether or not they want to proceed with the repair. If the customer chooses NOT to proceed with the repair, you pay only for the service until that moment. This option is preferred for repairs in which the cost of repair is high (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Note repairs are often quite expensive) or if the customer wants to buy a new phone or upgrade their device instead.

Diagnostic, customer chooses to Repair Free Diagnostic, Pay Only Price of Repair
- Should the customer go forward with the repair, we will waive the diagnostic fee so the customer only needs to to pay for the full price of the repair. Any money already paid for the diagnostic will be transferred to the payment of the repair instead. Note that the customer only needs to decide if they want to proceed with the repair AFTER the diagnostic is completed.
